Agia Eleousa feast (August)
Every year on August 22nd-23rd, Mytikas celebrates honoring Agia Eleousa. On the eve of the feast people from all over Alyzia, as well as tourists who are in the village for their holidays, go up and worship at the chapel of Agia Eleousa. The next day a feast (panigiri) is organized in the village square with a traditional music band.
Sardine feast (August)
Usually during the first ten days of August there is a sardine feast. Grills are set up where many fresh sardines are roasted, which are offered free of charge to all the visitors of Mytikas. A big feast follows until the morning with a live orchestra.
Traditional Barcarola (August)
The traditional barcarola is usually held after 20th August. Dozens of boats open up in the calm Ionian Sea, creating a very beautiful picture with dozens of fireworks and flares falling in the air or held in their hands, accompanied by wonderful singing and music.
